John Zola Memorial Award – Tyler Conlon
This award, established in memory of John Zola, a football player who was fatally injured during a game in 1961, is given to a student-athlete who plays the game with courage, heart, and integrity.
A three-time varsity letter winner, Tyler Conlon earned the 2018 honor, as voted on by his teammates. After making the move from defensive end to defensive tackle for his senior season, he logged extra hours in the weight room to prepare for the change. His hard work paid off, as he recorded 20 total tackles this fall, including 0.5 TFL, to go along with a pass breakup.
