Phillipsburg football took a huge step to one of its seasonal goals with a 30-7 thrashing of host Bridgewater-Raritan Friday night in front of a tremendous crowd at Basilone Field in Bridgewater.

The Stateliners improved to 3-0 in the Mid-State 37 Delaware Division (3-0 overall) and can clinch a share of the division crown with a win Thursday against visiting Hillsborough.

The Phillipsburg win snapped the Panthers’ 24-game regular-season winning streak.
